Preloved, recycled & upcycled material

Sourcing materials must be one of my favorite things to do in life. I scour thrift stores, antique markets, vide greniers, upholstery shops and little alley shops inland and while traveling to find the most beautiful fabrics of bygone times.

Every piece of fabric, every trim or tape, mother-of-pearl button, piece of antique crochet lace, every zipper and every centimeter of piping in the studio has passed through someone’s hands at some point. Much of this collection of sewing supplies has been brought home from travels or found online through second-hand parties.

Interwoven with stories and traditional crafts

Hungarian embroidered decorative trim, a scrap of Peruvian sheep’s wool, Italian damask bedspreads, a French toile de jouy curtain or a tablecloth decorated by hand with embroidery: traditional handicrafts connect us with stories and cultures from every corner of the world.

Yoga Cushions with buckwheat chaff

Buckwheat is commonly used in yoga cushions and poufs because it is not heavy, but sturdy enough to sit on for a long time without collapsing. If desired, you can also adjust the height of your pillow by adding or removing some chaff.
